Join our efforts to keep kids safe....
Our young people need to know that adults in our community value the lives of youth; will make the effort to step forward and care for them....no matter what the circumstances of their life.  Safe Landing houses youth coming from a variety of complex situations.  At times the answers for these young people and their families aren't always easy to discern.  The paths which lie ahead may be rocky and long.   Having others available as models and mentors eases the journey.  It gives hope and courage.  It allows youth and families the time necessary for healing and health.    Having a shelter in a storm, a listening ear, a whisper of wisdom, an encouraging word....these are essential ingredients of meaningful and valuable interactions.    Come speak with us and see if a volunteer experience at Safe Landing would be a good fit for you!  

Why volunteers are so important....
When Safe Landing was being developed back in 1978, it was important then, as it is now, to have an active volunteer program.  We have a great staff, but  it makes a huge difference when someone walks through the doors because they want to help....because they know there are youth in this community that are in difficult situations and could use a helping hand.  Our young people look forward to the opportunity to experience adults who demonstrate compassion, character and conviction....as well as a little fun!
